PIPIAN VERDE, condimentpaste with pumpkin and sesame seeds, 400g glasjar

Pipían is a traditional Mexican sauce made from roasted chilis, nuts, and spices. Served as a creamy sauce over tender pieces of chicken, pork, or duck. Traditionally accompanied by red or white rice and freshly made corn tortillas, often garnished with toasted sesame seeds.

Use: Heat the contents of the jar with approx. 400 ml of broth or water in a saucepan and stir until the desired creamy consistency is reached.
Serving suggestion: Add already cooked meat (or firm vegetables such as cauliflower or potatoes) directly into the hot sauce and let it briefly simmer together so the flavors meld perfectly.
