60ml TEQUILA XICOTE BLANCO
30ml Orange Liqueur (TRIPLE SEC )* Optional.
30ml lime juice (1 tablespoon lime powder)
15ml strawberry syrup
For rim of glass:
¼ teaspoon of Tajín (chili powder with salt and lime).
1 tablespoon sugar
For the strawberry syrup:
100 g strawberries
150 g sugar
60 g water
Mint – Optional
For the strawberry syrup: put the ingredients in a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly, until the strawberries break down (it is desirable that there are still chunks of strawberries left in the syrup).
Allow to cool and set aside. Tip: The syrup will keep longer if you add a tablespoon or two of vodka. Doing so will also give it a distinct flavor.
For the margarita:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and then shake well until fully integrated.
Moisten the rim from the glass with a slice of lime and then press it into the chilipulver-sugar mixture.
Place ice in the glass.
To serve garnish with a strawberry and a slice of lime.
