Pizza with Mex-Al’s Chipotle Pasta Sauce

If you love pizza and chipotle, this recipe is for you! All you need is a pizza base, our Chipotle Pasta Sauce and your favorite ingredients to top it off. We made it with black olives, salami, onion, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms and finished it with a dash of Mexican oregano. To further enhance the chipotle taste, add a few pieces of chipotle en adobo along with the other ingredients.


Pizza dough (you can use store-bought or make from scratch)

Chipotle Pasta Mex-Al

Black olives (to taste, sliced)

Cherry tomatoes (halved)

Salami (thin slices)

Onion (thin slices)

Mushrooms (sliced)

Dried oregano (to taste)

Red Cheddar-Mozzarella Cheese Mix


1. Preheat the oven to the recommended temperature for the type of pizza dough you're using.

2. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet and shape it to your liking.

3. Spread an even layer of Chipotle Pasta Sauce over the dough, making sure it covers the entire surface.

4. Sprinkle a generous amount of our shredded mozzarella cheese mixture on top of the sauce.

5. Spread the black olives, cherry tomatoes, sliced salami, onion and mushrooms evenly over the pizza.

6. Sprinkle dried oregano over the top for extra flavor.

7. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

9. Enjoy!


Tip: To enhance the chipotle flavor, add a few pieces of chipotle en adobo to the other ingredients.
